How To Close After Your Event

Leave No Trace! When you arrive for your event, please make note of the condition of the space, as well as the layout of furniture. Woodbine shares 414 Broadway with 2 other partners, so the goal when cleaning should be to return the space back to its status quo.

Keep track of the time! If we confirmed arrival and departure times for your event, please don’t underestimate the time it will take between the end of your event and when you will be fully out the door. This includes your audience mingling and making small talk, as well as the time it will take you to break down, clean-up, and rearrange the space. Depending on set-up and scale, this will usually take at least 30-60 minutes.

If a garbage or recycling container is more than 3/4 full, please tie it up and leave it near the elevator or in the stairwell. Replace the bag (stored in the kitchen cabinet under the microwave).

Wipe down all surfaces, counters, and tables, using a cleaning spray and wash cloth.

Please sweep or swiffer any area where people are eating or drinking. Our cleaning supplies are stored In the closet behind the black folding chairs, and under the kitchen sink.

Please return the tables, chairs, and couch to their previous locations.

Before leaving, make sure to turn off the air conditioner, projector, PA system, and lights. Pull up the projector screen.

Make sure our stairwell door is closed and the elevator is locked. When in the lobby, make sure that stairwell door is closed as well, and make sure the Broadway front door is fully locked when leaving.

Try to leave the space nicer than you found it. This will be a benefit to the entire community, and be appreciated by all.
