Support Woodbine Food Pantry!
Directly combat food insecurity in your neighborhood by donating to the Woodbine Food Pantry Emergency Fund.
The Woodbine Food Pantry distributes to an average of 100 families per week on Monday and Wednesday mornings at Woodbine. The food they distribute comes partly from city grants and partly from recurring food donations from local grocery stores, bakeries, purveyors and from the CSA. This emergency fund will be a reserve for when food supply is short from our providers, or when city bureaucracy causes gaps in funding.
If every CSA member donates $10, the Woodbine Food Pantry will meet their ~$1k goal to create an emergency fund.
As previous CSA members know, any leftover shares at the end of each pick-up go directly to the Woodbine Food Pantry. Additionally, Norwich Meadows Farms donates 4 boxes of produce at every pick-up. Other sustaining food donation providers include Trader Joe’s, She Wolf Bakery, Farm to People, Knickerbocker Bagel and Al-Yemeni Market. If you have any leads or connections to grocers, bakeries, restaurants or other food providers who may have regular food to donate, get in touch!
